Coin Flip is a coin toss, not a data business. This page explains exactly what is collected, what never leaves your browser, and how to opt out.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, or payment details in order to flip a coin. Your flip results, statistics, and preferences are stored on your own device and are never sent to us. We do use third-party analytics to understand how the site is used, and an optional push notification service if you grant permission.
Coin Flip uses your browser's local storage to remember things between visits. This data stays on your device, is readable only by coin-flip.com in your browser, and is never transmitted to our servers. It includes:
You can erase all of it at any time. Use the Reset and Clear History buttons on the homepage, or clear site data for coin-flip.com in your browser settings. Nothing is kept once you do.
We use Google Analytics and Google Firebase Analytics, both operated by Google LLC, to understand aggregate usage — how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where in the world they are, and how often the coin gets flipped. We record a simple event each time a flip happens. We do not record the outcome of your flips.
These services set cookies and identifiers, and may process your IP address and general device information. Google acts as an independent controller for this data. You can read Google's Privacy Policy and opt out entirely using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or your browser's tracking protection.
Coin Flip can send browser push notifications, but only if you explicitly grant notification permission when your browser asks. This is entirely optional and the site works normally if you decline.
If you accept, we use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to generate an anonymous device token. That token, along with the website's hostname and a coarse region label, is sent to our notification service at push.funox.com so we can deliver messages to your browser. The token identifies a browser installation, not a person — it is not linked to your name or email, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
To withdraw consent, revoke notification permission for coin-flip.com in your browser's site settings. Your browser will stop accepting messages immediately. To have the stored token deleted from our service as well, email [email protected].
The site loads the Outfit typeface from Google Fonts and the Firebase libraries from Google's gstatic.com content delivery network. Because your browser requests these files directly, Google receives your IP address and user agent as part of that request. No other third-party services are embedded in the site.
We do not run advertising, we do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent for analytics cookies and push notifications, and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website for the remainder. Note that the data we hold about you is minimal and, in most cases, not sufficient to identify you.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Coin Flip is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be noted on the homepage.
